On this important and rather lengthy "website tools" page I'd like to do two things: describe the types of money making websites that you might be interested in developing, and then list what I believe to be the basic set of tools needed for a successful site.

We can distinguish the first two types of websites by whether you wish to create your site by yourself or wish to have someone create it for you. As I see it, the main benefit of creating your own website is that you will be the master of it. You will have learned how to use the essential website tools and how to create and control every element and dimension of it. When it does not seem to be performing up to your goals for it, you can determine why and change it accordingly. In other words you can continually perfect it until it is all it can be. You will be its master. You will be a "Webmaster".

The type of money making website you intend to develop will effect the kinds of website tools you will need and want. So let's take a look at the different kinds of sites. Once again, money making websites can be categorized according to whether they are offering information, services or products, or any combination of those three things, for sale.
